Winston Cattle Co. — Shipping & Delivery Policy

DFW hand delivery. Orders across the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex are hand-delivered by our own team from our Grapevine hub. Local delivery is free on every order. We’ll confirm your delivery day by email once your order is cut and packed.

Nationwide frozen freight. We ship to the lower 48 states by 2-day frozen freight. Freight is a flat $15, and free on orders of $199 or more. Most orders ship within 2–3 business days of being placed.

How your beef is packed. Every cut is flash-frozen at peak freshness, vacuum-sealed, and packed with dry ice in an insulated shipping box. Dry ice is designed to last through transit and is often fully used up by the time the box reaches your door.

What to expect on arrival. Your beef will arrive frozen or partially frozen — firm and cold to the touch. That is exactly as intended. USDA guidance for shipped perishable food is that it should arrive frozen, partially frozen, or refrigerator-cold (below 40°F). Beef that is still cold to the touch is safe to cook that day or to place straight into your freezer.

If something arrives warm. If any item has reached room temperature and is no longer cool to the touch, or a vacuum seal is broken, please don’t cook it. Email a photo to hello@winstoncattleco.com within 24 hours of delivery and we’ll replace it or refund it — your choice. Nothing to ship back.

Someone should be home. Frozen freight is left at your door; please plan for delivery and move the box to your freezer promptly. We can’t be responsible for boxes left outside for extended periods after delivery.

Whole, half, and quarter beef shares. Shares are processed to order. After processing we’ll contact you with the final hanging weight and remaining balance, and we’ll schedule delivery once the balance is paid. If we can’t reach you, we’ll hold your beef in our freezer and keep trying — please keep your phone number and email current on your order.
